Provence A land of excellence

Under the Southern sun, flavors have a soul. They tell the story of the land and passion. With the 2nd edition of the “Agricultural Prize of the Metropolis”, the Aix- Marseille-Provence Metropolis celebrates a way of life where authenticity meets innovation. Meet an inspired, bold, and vibrantly alive Provence.

Across the hills and along the Camargue shores, producers cultivate their products with a commitment to quality. Thirty sectors of excellence, often engaged in organic farming or High Environmental Value practices, embody agriculture full of meaning. The wines of Cellier Lou Bassaquet, the olive oils of Château Calissanne, and the honey from Montaiguet proudly carry the colors of the region symbols of skills passed down and continually reinvented.

The terroir in celebration

During this 2nd edition, twelve awards recognized the jewels of the land. Among them: the traditional baguette “Lou pan d’ici”, made from local flour; Camargue oysters with their uniquely salty character; and the calissons from Roy René, sweet ambassadors of Aixois heritage. All will be showcased throughout the year during metropolitan events and gourmet gatherings.

The “Agricultural Prize of the Metropolis” is more than just a distinction: it is a tribute to the diversity of the territory. Behind every medal are dedicated men and women, a culture of taste, and a promise of sustainability. At the crossroads of excellence and conviviality, Provence affirms its art of living: sunny and intensely gourmet.

Provençal flavors

As the holidays approach, Provence sets the table with elegance. A drop of fruity olive oil on a seasonal dish, a craft beer to embrace modernity, golden honey to enhance the thirteen desserts each product tells a story of shared moments.
