Eva Jacqueline Longoria was born on March 15 , 1975 in Corpus Christie, Texas. The youngest of four daughters born into a modest family of Mexican origin, Eva dreamed of being an actress and did nothing to hide it. Aged 23 she earned herself a scholarship after winning the “Miss Corpus Christi” beauty contest.
With the money she set off for Los Angeles to try and land her- self a much sough-after role in Hollywood. After around a hundred auditions, in 2000, Eva got her first role as special guest in an episode of Beverly Hills 90210. That same year she was given the role of Isabella Braña Williams in Les Feux de l’Amour then went on to make a name for herself in Desperate Housewives in the role of the sexy, materialist and unfaithful heroine Gabrielle Solis, for which she received a number of awards and which transformed her into a American icon on the other side of the Atlantic.
Although Eva Longoria appeared in numerous films such as La sentinelle (2006), Bad Times (2007), Les femmes de ses rêves (2007), Desperate teachers (2008) and Le fantôme de mon ex-fiancée (2008), the glamourous fun-loving actress is above all known for her roles in soap operas : Desperate Housewives, but also Dragnet (2003–2004), Les fantômes de l’amour (2004), George Lopez (2006), and Children’s Hospital (2008).
However her multiple roles and appearances do not stop her from devoting much of her time to something that means a lot to her: helping others. Eva has been heavily involved for many years in a number of associations helping people get access to education. She also helps developmentally disabled children and in 2012 she launched her own “Eva Longoria Foundation” to help Latinas and their families.

As for her love life, following a few disappointments, Eva is in love and looking as beautiful as ever in the arms of the man she married in Mexico in 2016, Mexican businessman José Antonio Baston.
