Born on December 1st, 1953, in Paris, Antoine de Caunes is one of those personalities who have left a lasting mark on French culture and media. The son of journalist Georges de Caunes and renowned TV presenter Jacqueline Joubert, he grew up in a world where television and cinema were ever-present. Very early on, he developed a strong taste for creativity, humor, and freedom of tone traits that would become his unmistakable signature.

Host, director, actor, screenwriter, and journalist, he has established himself over the decades as one of the most inventive and respected figures in the French audiovi sual landscape. He rose to fame in the 1980s with his self-mocking TV segments and became one of the iconic faces of “Nulle part ailleurs” on Canal+, alongside Philippe Gildas and his legendary partner José Garcia a duo that has since become mythical.
